N.b.: Since 2015 at least 150 hotels, hostels, campgrounds, etc. were converted to lodgings for asylum seekers.
In some region this resulted in a drastically reduced availability of accommodation for touristic purposes,
e.g. in Dalsland, Gästrikland and unfortunately also some parts of northern Sweden.
Please double check where you want to spend your holidays...
Surely not unrelated to above, it is also worth to have a look into the list of (especially) vulnarable areas
as defined by swedish police.
More honest, but with less political correctness, one could simply call them "no-go areas".
